The mission of LifeChurch Youth Ministry is to engage with students in our church and community and lead them to a deep and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through teaching, worship, prayer, and fellowship, our goal is to create an environment that communicates God’s truth, inspires passion, and produces spiritual growth. To achieve this environment, we seek to maintain three core values:
Loving
Just as the foundation of God’s character is love, so too is love the foundation of this ministry. As youth workers, our first value is to ensure that young people feel loved by us through our engagement and interaction with them. We strive to provide unconditional love and encouragement regardless of background and hope the youth will see God’s unconditional love through us.
Challenging
Our second value is to challenge the youth in their faith through our teaching and discipleship. Our teaching should guide students to develop a deeper understanding of God’s Word and how it applies to their lives. While we hope to create a comforting environment, our goal is to facilitate discussion that encourages students to search their hearts and minds to find areas of improvement within themselves.
Yearning
Our third value is to be an example to young people as faithful followers of God. We hope to express our passion for God’s love, the need for His grace, and the importance of His will in our lives. We seek to instill that same passion in the hearts of young people so they would yearn for God’s presence, seek His heart, and trust in His vision for their lives.
Through adhering to these core values, it is our hope that they would be ingrained into the students’ hearts to prepare them to facilitate change in the lives around them. Our is hope for these students to be a source of unconditional love, to challenge and produce spiritual growth in others, and to inspire others to yearn for God’s influence.
Wednesdays
LifeChurch Youth meets each Wednesday from 6:45-8:15 pm at LifeChurch. Students take part in fun activities, engage with God in worship and prayer, and receive an age-appropriate lesson centered in the truth of God’s Word. We utilize Deep Discipleship Curriculum called “Intersections.” Deep Discipleship is a Multi-Year Strategic Curriculum to grow deep faith. Every Deep Discipleship Curriculum focuses on the core of the gospel, using the gospel thread: the 8 Roots of Deep Discipleship. Throughout each year of Deep Discipleship content, you’ll teach and reinforce these core truths of the gospel and avoid graduating students with critical gaps in their knowledge of the faith.
